National Conservation Law – Public Meetings (Brac Updated)

Environment Minister Hon. Wayne Panton, invites members of the public who have questions regarding the National Conservation Bill to come out to a series of public information meetings during the week of December 2nd.

 The Cayman Brac meeting is now scheduled for Satuday the 7th in the Veteran’s and Seamen’s Hall – at 2:30pm.

All Grand Cayman meetings will begin at 7:30pm and refreshments will be provided. The meetings will begin with a short overview of the National Conservation Bill, but the majority of the time will be for members of the public to have their questions answered.

 

The Bill and other information are available on the DoE website, https://doe.ky/laws/national-conservation-law/, and questions on the Bill can be sent directly to the Department of Environment, DoE@gov.ky, for answers.

 

The Minister for Environment expects the Bill will be debated in the Legislative Assembly in the second week of December and the public is encouraged to get its comments to their MLA and the Minister as promptly as possible. Comments can be sent directly to the Ministry of Environment or emailed to the Department, DoE@gov.ky, for collation and forwarding to the Minister.
