Red-legged Thrush

Length 25-28cm (10-11″). Common breeding resident of Cayman Brac. Our local subspecies, Turdus plumbeus coryi is endemic: found only on Cayman Brac and nowhere else in the world. Prefers coastal wood and shrubland, and bluff-top woodland. Also seen in urban areas. Occasionally seen on Grand Cayman and Little Cayman. Usually silent and shy, but becomes vocal and aggressive during the breeding season, March-September.
