Stilt Sandpiper

Length 20-22cm (8-8.5″).Uncommon passage migrant to the Cayman Islands. Prefers lagoons, secondary and freshwater swamps and rough pasture. Also occasionally seen on golf courses. Stilt Sandpipers may break their southerly migration in the Caribbean to moult their flight features, before continuing on to overwinter in central South America.
